Ameo is the latest product from the house of German car maker Volkswagen. The German auto maker has entered the compact sedan market in India with the Ameo which is the compact sedan model of the Polo. The Volkswagen Ameo is particularly targeted at the Indian consumers to make the most of the tax benefits of vehicles under 4 metre length.
The Ameo has got the adorable looks of the Polo with the same grille design, head lights and bumper. The interiors of the Ameo are also very well designed with a good sense of aesthetics. But it is somewhat disheartening that the Ameo comes with fabric interiors instead of leather upholstery, though the leather wrapped steering wheel and the premium quality of plastic used do add a special look the interiors of this car. The infotainment system itself is brand new and superior both in terms of the touch screen hard ware as well as the user interface. The Ameo offers great space, in fact the boot is quite large; the rear seats can be further folded down to provide a larger storage area. The Ameo is powered by both a petrol 1.2 litre engine and a 1.5 litre diesel engine, both of which come mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox.
The Swift Dzire from the house of Maruti Suzuki is a sedan that is very much loved by the Indians for quite a while now. Even though it has been seen for quite some time and the face lifted 2015 version of the Swift Dzire is also seen regularly, it still remains the most popular when it comes to the compact sedan category.
The overall design concept of the new Dzire creates quite an impression, with impressive external looks and luxurious interiors which offer a premium touch to the cabin. All the attributes and features that one would ever want for an enjoyable ride are now available in the new Swift Dzire. From outside, the face lifted model of Swift Dzire comes with bumpers with a refreshed look; a new front grille, redesigned alloy wheels and new fog lamps.
