Toyota Corolla Altis Facelift Revealed

Toyota Europe has officially published few images of the much awaited Toyota Corolla Altis (known as Corolla in other countries). This car will be released first in Australia in the first half of the next year. Moreover, the face lifted version of this sedan is also coming to India in 2017, although the date is not confirmed till now. Toyota has unveiled the face lifted Corolla prior to the international debut of this car which is slated to be later on in this year. The face lifted model has received a style update along with the addition of some features for the international car markets, which are expected to come to India as well.

The new face lifted Corolla Altis gets a redone front fascia with a single slat radiator chrome grille that is flanked by new sleek looking head lights. The front bumper is all new with a large central air dam and recessed fog lights. At the back side, there are new LED tail lights and a revised rear bumper as well. The car has also been given new design alloy wheels. In terms of features, the new revised model of the Toyota Corolla Altis gets LED head lights with daytime running lamps on the top trim model along with the addition of safety systems such as lane departure alert, automatic high beam and a pre-collision system which is a radar based technology that pre-emptively tightens the seat belts and pre-charges the brakes in case of an unavoidable collision. No details are known as yet about the engine specs of this car.
The Toyota Corolla Altis face lifted edition is expected to arrive in the car market of India just after its international release. This car is likely to use the same 1.8 litre petrol engine and 1.4 litre diesel engine as in the present model and is also expected to give a miss to the radar based safety system.
The Corolla Altis is sold in the overseas markets in two variants with unique styling. The face lifted Corolla Altis for the North American markets feature styles which is more in line with the new Prius. The Indian market is expected to receive the face lifted model of the Corolla that is sold in Europe and Australia. Images of the two revised versions of the Corolla were leaked online earlier this year in January and showed the differences in styling of the two models.
