Tata establishes new Impact Design philosophy for passenger vehicles

Tata Motors has undergone metamorphosis over the last few years. Cars from Tata like the Bolt and Zest are evidence that the Indian car maker is going in the correct direction when it comes to car features, materials used, build quality and aesthetics. The company has declared that in future its passenger vehicles will be designed on its new IMPACT design principle.

The recently revealed Tata Zica is the first model to be launched under the IMPACT philosophy. Tata has stated that this new design principle can be described by the punchline: ‘Immediate IMPACT at first sight. Lasting IMPACT over time.’ Tata therefore intends to make cars that are aesthetically appealing and bold. President of Tata’s Passenger Vehicle Business Unit Mayank Pareek said,” Today, the automakers are developing innovative technologies to cater to the needs of the new generation of customers. Design is among the key factors for car purchase decisions. Tata Motors recognizes this and presents IMPACT Design – as a key focus for the company’s passenger vehicle strategy. The new, youthful, energetic and bold character of the passenger vehicles by Tata Motors is sure to make a lasting impact on our customers and on the Indian roads.”

Tata’s IMPACT language comes with a set of signature designs that will be followed while creating the exteriors and interiors of Tata passenger cars in future. The exterior design will be EXciting, EXpressive and EXtraordinary while the interiors will be INviting, INtelligent and INtouch. This means that the exteriors of the cars will be designed to be aesthetically pleasing. Stepping inside, Tata cars will now come with top class build quality and materials to ascertain that the cabin is looks plush and comfortable with storage spaces and intuitive controls which improve the overall driving experience.
