Hyundai is one of the most popular and reliable car brands in the Indian context. This Korean car maker has got quite a strong presence in India with their slew of different car models in all segments and intended for the different categories of car lovers. In recent times, the hottest selling car segment in the Indian car industry is the compact SUV segment.
Hyundai had launched the Indian Car of the Year 2016, Creta, last year, which has been topping the charts of compact SUV cars ever since its launch. Hyundai Creta has given very little chance to other cars in its class to compete with it. The Hyundai Creta has undoubtedly been one of the most anticipated cars of the year.
The front fascia of this car has a long bonnet with a three slat chrome radiator grille which adds boldness to its look while the projector head lights integrated with LED, vertical fog lamps and the dual tone bumper in the front enhance the stylish and distinctive SUV-ish traits of the Hyundai Creta. The Hyundai Creta has a wheel base of 2590 mm, with length of 4270 mm, width of 1780 mm, height of 1630 mm and a ground clearance of 201mm, all of which together make it an evidently larger vehicle with more space, in terms of spacious interiors – ample head space and leg space for the occupants.
Hyundai Creta comes with three engine versions – a 1.6 litre dual VTVT petrol engine that delivers power of 123PS along with 151 Nm of peak torque, a 1.4 litre U2 CRDi diesel engine which generates power of 90PS along with 220 Nm of top torque and a 1.6 litre CRDi diesel engine that delivers 128PS of maximum power and 260 Nm of top torque. Hyundai is also offering two transmission variants, a six speed manual and a six speed automatic. In terms of performance, the 1.4 litre diesel, 1.6 litre diesel (manual and automatic) as well as the 1.6 litre VTVT petrol engines all perform fairly well, though the diesel variants deliver better performance.
In terms of pricing, the Hyundai Creta on road price in Delhi starts at 10.19 lakh while Hyundai Creta TCO is estimated to range around 10.78lakh over a span of five years.
