Datsun India launched the redi-GO on 7th of June 2016. It was during the Delhi Auto Expo during 2014, that this car maker had revealed the concept model of the Redi GO for the very first time.
The front fascia of the production model of this car comes with a smartly designed bonnet which is flanked by two stylish head lamps in swept back style, which have integrated turn lights and Datsun’s patent hexagonal radiator grille in the front with its chrome accented borders. The front bumper also adds an aggressive stance to this car with the chrome slats, and prominent lines that flow along the side of this car. The rear wind screen is mounted high up and the tail lamps stacked vertically, enhance the appealing look of the Redi Go. Datsun India has been banking on the Redi Go with the aim to gain a considerable market share in the entry level small car segment of the Indian car industry. As of now, the Redi Go will be available with an 800 cc petrol engine that similar to the Renault Kwid, which will be generating 53 BHP output and highest torque of 72 Nm. The company will initially launch a five speed manual transmission model of the Redi Go and has plans to launch an AMT variant in future.
It is worthwhile to mention here that though Datsun’s Redi Go and Renault’s Kwid are totally different cars with different looks and features, both cars have been built on the same CMF-A platform.
